The Austrian Wine Marketing Board (AWMB) and the VieVinum
Austria`s most important wine trade show
More than 550 Austrian wine-growers participate in this wine event taking place in the Viennese Hofburg biannually – the VieVinum as stage for Austria`s wine world is of invaluable importance for the image and the economic development of the wine business.
Since the 80ies the reputation of the wine country Austria has enormously increased on a national and international level, one could even talk of an enthusiastic development. It is thus a logical consequence that such an ambitious wine trade show is organized in Austria. Since 1998, when it was organized for the first time, the VieVinum is regarded as benchmark of the national and international wine scene. On three days visitors are offered a broad spectrum of wines of various origins, interesting grape varieties as well as new wine styles and trends.
The personal appearance of many wine-growers as well as the attendance of wine specialists and wine lovers provide for interesting discussions, new experiences and know-how. Experts and wine enthusiasts alike are given the opportunity to taste top wines of the most renowned wineries of various origins.
In the course of the past decade Austria has succeeded in positioning itself in the top wine segment on an international level, a deciding factor being the high quality of Austrian wines and the individual consumer support”, reaffirms Mag. Willi Klinger, managing director of the Austrian Wine Marketing Board (AWMB).“ Such events contribute to a great extent to strengthen the emotional link with the wine country Austria.”
That is why the AWMB again supports the VieVinum 2016 and invites numerous opinion leaders in the field of wine trade, wine journalism and the restaurant business from all over the world to Austria.
